JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto together with the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, monitored the implementation of the Covid-19 Health Protocol at Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, Sunday (31/1/2021).

To break the Covid-19 chain, together the two Generals were socializing the importance of the health protocol recommended by the government. Both of them also distributed masks to visitors.

"Today, together with the Chief of Police, I checked in the area, especially at Tanah Abang Market, regarding the main health protocol of using masks," said Hadi in Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, Sunday (31/1/2021).

Hadi revealed that the use of masks is still one of the efforts being made to prevent as well as to break the chain of coronavirus transmission in Indonesia.

"The use of these masks can continue to be carried out and should not be slackened because the only way you can avoid Covid-19 is by always using a mask when outside, including keeping your distance and always washing your hands," said Hadi.

On the other hand, Hadi emphasized, within the next week the implementation of health protocols will be encouraged further. The National Police will coordinate with the Regional Government (Pemda) to socialize and educate the public regarding the importance of health protocols.

Meanwhile, the National Police Chief, General Sigit, added that the TNI-Polri and all other stakeholders must work together to provide an understanding in the form of education to the public so people will always carry out the health protocols.

"Adding to what the Commander said, I ask for the Security to distribute the masks to all visitors who do not wear one," said Sigit.

In addition, Sigit also ensured that TNI-Polri personnel would later enforce health protocols in markets, stations and other locations that had high mobility and interaction.
